Sightings Record

What we saw, reported honestly

What we saw, season by season.

Our approach to reporting

No perfect record. An honest one.

Many operators advertise a perfect record. We would rather tell you exactly what happened. Every season we publish how many departures saw snow leopards, how many days in the field produced a sighting, and what else we saw.

We never publish precise locations, and we never report a sighting we did not see ourselves.

How we record

On every expedition, the leader logs each sighting: the date, the valley, the number of animals, their behaviour and the distance of observation. The full record is shared with Ladakh's Department of Wildlife Protection for long-term research on the species.

2027–28Our first commercial season. Its full record will be published here in May 2028.

We will add the results of our pilot expeditions in early 2027 once they are complete.

Why we don't guarantee

No honest operator can promise a wild snow leopard

What we promise instead is everything we control: experienced spotters, six full field days, two valleys, and the Snow Leopard Promise if the mountains keep their secret.
