Odzer Snow Leopard Expeditions, Leh, Ladakh, India ("Odzer", "we") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for guests in Europe and the UK, the GDPR.
What we collect
- When you enquire: your name, email, phone number, country of residence, nationality, travel preferences and anything you choose to tell us.
- When you subscribe to Letters from Ladakh: your email address.
- When you book: the details we need to run your expedition, such as passport details for permits, dietary needs, emergency contacts, insurance details and the medical information you give us.
- In your Guest Area: your login details and a record of your e-book downloads.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and plan your expedition.
- To arrange permits, accommodation, flights and your safety in the field.
- To send Letters from Ladakh, only if you have asked us to.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We use your information with your consent, or because it is needed to provide the expedition you have booked, or to meet the law. We never sell your information, and we never use it for automated sales emails.
Who we share it with
Only those who need it to run your expedition: the authorities that issue permits, hotels, lodges and airlines, and our website and email providers. Sighting records shared with Ladakh's Department of Wildlife Protection contain wildlife data, not your personal details.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Booking records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Medical information is deleted after your expedition. You can unsubscribe from Letters from Ladakh at any time.
Cookies
This website uses one essential cookie, only in the Guest Area, to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. All fonts and images are served from our own website; no third party receives your visit.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Email info@odzerexpeditions.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the data protection authority in your country.
